My dad watched The Office (American version! Not British!) for the first time yesterday, and liked it.
Now if our discussion ever turns to American pop culture, we can stretch the conversation away from Tom Hanks' Big and Forrest Gump!
I consider this a victory.

You got your dad to watch The Office? Sweet...
Jarey: Actually, what makes this even cooler was that my dad happened upon The Office on his own and brought it up at dinner. I'm still excited that the amount of U.S. pop culture we can discuss increased by 50%. We're a real American family now!
